We love it here. It's a great area to explore and they do wonderful programs for children through out the year. You have access to False Cape state park by foot, bike, or shuttle from the visitor center. Its 5 dollars to park or you can by a yearly pass for 15. It's well worth it for us as we frequent here.

This is the starting location to a wide range of activities in the area. The rangers are very knowledgeable and can provide you with all the information needed to begin your adventure. I, personally, have hiked the east dike three times. I haven't made it to False Cape yet but the walk is nice. (Bring water!). I have also done the walk to the beach from the admin building. Its just an all around nice place to explore. What I haven't done yet: fished the ponds and marsh, checked out the turtle breeding grounds and other animal observation areas, biked the paths. Everything is sea level so the hikes and walks are fairly easy, some just get long.

Gorgeous, serene park! Be prepared to walk. You park and walk - no driving through once inside!

Abundance of wildlife. Upkeep of trails. Knowledge of interpretation.

This is a fantastic place to hike or to visit through an excursion with winter wildlife festival. I’ve seen lots of waterfowl, American bittern and even cottonmouths here. I love this place!!
