What a beautiful gem, tucked back in the heart of historic VB! Excited to go back and visit the Whitehurst-Buffington House.
Nice quiet woodland area with paved walking paths. Abundant parking.
Nice trail in the woods! Mixture of paved, gravel, and dirt trails. Gets pretty muddy after it rains.
It's pretty hard to find this place, especially if you are using Google map.Behind the shops and parking lot,there is a small foot bridge that you have to cross to get to the entrance to the park.We took two rounds around the roads thinking there might be an entrance on other side.No signs on the road,I saw atleast 2 other cars roaming around looking for entrance just like us.nnInside the park other than the tar road in the beginning, all the trails were muddy and poorly maintained,can't walk at all.Our shoes and pants were soaked in muddy water.
Hard to find via Google maps, but the trails were nice.
