This is my favorite beach to go to. There are two parking lots, the one that’s closest to the shop, and one further down the road (Sandpiper). If it’s not busy I go to the one closest to my turn on Sandpiper. However, I typically drive further down. There is a cost to parking during peak hours (I believe it’s Memorial Day-Labor Day) for non residents it’s $5 for residents (maybe just VB but I’m not sure) it’s $3.
Nice clean beach with clean bathrooms and a nice new playground! Tons of parking and lots of beach entrances. Lots of room for social distancing. We even saw dolphins out by the pier. Not many whole shells because it's exposed to the Atlantic but a great all around beach.
One spot that I extremely enjoy and having the pleasure of casting all my troubles away. #startinganew.
Enjoyed walking the beach and knowing car was in safe location. Kids loved the small park connected to the lot.
Great parking location for all of southern.shores!
