A Great overlook spot for a great Sunrise! Get there early to secure a spot to park and enjoy the views Shenandoah National Park have to offer! Just below the Thornton Gap entrance makes it very easy to get to. Buy you pass online to help with faster entrance as lines can be very long during peak leaf season.

We parked the car at the entrance because the roads are closed due to weather, walked a mile to the overlook and got an unobstructed view of the sunrise, as no one was there except us.

Great overlook to watch sunrise. Was surprised to see a huge crowd at 5 am waiting for this sight. Strongly recommending this spot if you are looking for an awesome way to spend the early morning hours...

Buck Hollow Overlook is one of the best overlooks to see the Sunrise. We went there around 5 and till 8 I have seen many other cars to stop by to either see the sunrise or, just to soak in the sunlight.
