Nice hike, good place for a picnic. (There is really nothing there though)

I love Shenandoah National Park! I spend a lot of time up there. My last trip to Snead farm was highlighted by a black bear investigating what I was having for lunch. He politely left when I spoke to him.

The barn has been kept well by the staff of the park. It was nice to go and see the historic little spot. Although there is not much to truly see it was interesting to walk the snead farm trail and come across the barn as we exited after going counter clockwise on the path.nnIn early May there were a large amount of ticks to be found in the grasses near the barn and on the trail up to it. Be wary and wear long pants.

Lovely, quiet hike not too far from the entrance to the park.
