Great place to rest or to stop and have lunch during your hike
Very unusual shelter - I understand it was converted from a picnic pavilion.nnProbably the only shelter in Shenandoah without a water source. If you are planning to spend a night there, make sure to bring water along.nnWhat's surprising, I found a water fountain nearby and some water pipes - all disconnected for some reason. Probably a reminder from picnic times.
Pretty good, but a long hike to get water...
Didn't actually stay here but stopped for a rest during a hike along the AT. Nice spot at the top of the mountain.
