Sadly I have to update this review because this place has really gone downhill. I have been eating here at least 1-2 times a week for 2 years now. I have been ordering it for delivery for the entire pandemic. Their dine in service has taken a drastic nose dive. I recently went in to dine in and on both occasions I had to go up to the servers to get a refill of water or soda after waiting 20 minutes for someone to notice my empty glass on the edge of the table. If the two guys working as servers their would put in half the effort of paying attention to the customers as they do to the girls working there the service would be great.nnI really love this place and I really love Pho and it saddens me so much seeing how bad the service has gotten.nnReview from 3 years ago:nSome of the best Pho I've ever eaten. Staff is friendly and provides a great welcoming feel. I highly recommend coming here to get some great service and great Pho.

My go-to Vietnamese restaurant with delicious soups and excellent noodles or rice based entrees. The meat for pho is precooked for take out, which ensures a consistent experience regardless of how long it takes to bring it home. Works best if you have a large bowl at home to mix the soup ingredients all together at once. Very fast preparation, too!

I'm new to town and was very excited to find Pho 79. I have already ordered online twice for carry out. The confirmation indicated that my order would be 15 minutes. Both times were exactly 30 minutes. The staff seemed completely indifferent and border line rude. I was the only customer in the store, so volume of customers was not an excuse. However, the food is good.

We came a week ago and the service was lacking. Came again today and Michael was superb! Super friendly, attentive, answered all of my ridiculous questions, he was great! It may seem mildly confusing when you walk in and only see teenagers but don’t let that deter you!

If you like Vietnamese food this is the place you want to go in Williamsburg. The servers were friendly and knowledgeable. The restaurant was covid compliant with properly spaced tables. All staff were wearing face masks. The food was quickly prepared and delivered with a smile. Everything we ordered was delicious and served hot. The restrooms were clean.
