Another childhood staple I enjoy visiting on my trips home. On this excursion I met up with two of my elementary/high school friends and their little boys. We enjoyed sitting in the shade on a bench under a tree and the 2 year old with us loved the large duck statues and then enjoyed sharing his animal cookies with the live ducks in the pond. The six month old with us enjoyed watching a group of retirees catching up and sharing cookies near the library and having some tummy time on a blanket in the grass. We didn't make it over to the playgrounds this time, but I have so many fond memories of swinging and sliding and running and hiding from childhood through high school. I hope the willow tree is still growing tall and strong at the playground by Surf-n-Swim and a new generation of children are enjoying pretend houses, caves and whatever their imaginations conjure up under those delightful branches.

One of my favorite parks. I grew up next to this park and spent many days riding bikes. Unfortunately the removed the hamster wheel of death several years back but there are still great toys for the kids. Bring bread for the birds.

Beautiful park!!! I have lived in layton my whole life and have many memories of this place. You can rent out Pavillions for special occasions and rent certain parts of the park. I did this for my proposal to my girlfriend last month and rented out past the bridge. It was beautiful and she said yes!!! Layton parks and recreation office is so kind and helpful! Definitely recommend for party's, walks, and fun!

Great park! I loved the stroller-friendly shaded walking trail by the creek (accessible behind the baseball fields and pool). It was 90° out but not unpleasant on the path (we brought water with us, though). Plus, it felt like there was a lot of room to roam due to all of the paved paths. We spent a couple hours here and still didn't see everything. We'll be going back for sure. Post script: the duck pond is so cool! I love this park. We've now seen more and it's super sweet.

The Christmas park was very beautiful! You can drive through or walk through. Last night was my family's first time goin' there.
