It was not a long walk from the parking lot to the aqueduct, but it's right next to the water treatment plant... Hard to enjoy nature down wind from that! Otherwise it's great...
Next to water treatment plant, so smells bad. Do not follow signs to the confederate graveyard, five graveyards but only one from the time of confederacy, and a plaque put up in 2009 and the bugs will eat you.
I am the President of the American Canal Society, so little gems like this aqueduct delight me. The local group has built a deck overlook so you can safely see the creek flowing under this one arch aqueduct. Be sure to visit the museum as part of your tour.
