PODS Moving & Storage

From the beginning they gave me a quote and I have paid a thousand more than the quote. They told me the only date available for delivery would’ve been 4/2/2021, because the boat will not come in until 3/29. Well I called in regards to an additional 700 dollar bill that arrived in the mail and they couldn’t tell me why I had an extra bill. That’s when they told me that my POD was at the local office and had been here almost two and a half weeks early. And they just took out a monthly rental fee? I tried to talk to billing all day but got the “our system is down”. When I looked online there was nothing updated in my account stating that the pod was even delivered to the local PODS facility. If they told me that I could’ve had my POD delivered earlier and that could’ve saved me 474 dollars. I am beyond livid. And I’m trying to talk to someone about this but no one is able to help! NEVER USE THEM! I should’ve listened to folks who told me not to use them, but I felt that everyone deserves the benefit of the doubt. Welp we see how that turned out!

We have now made 4 POD moves to Hilo, with number 5 coming up. I have never had an issue with them. The team is first rate and goes the extra mile to make sure that you are taken care of. Now with that said, if your move takes you to a Neighbor Island, then realize that they will not deliver to your door step. You will have to get your stuff to your property. also remember that they have to deal with the sailing schedule of the inter Island barge service, Young Brothers. Like I said, we have done 4 PODS moves with number 5 in the wings. You want to save a ton of money? And move on your time line? Use PODS Hawaii, can't give them enough Mahalo's...

They are a nightmare to use in Hawaii. Can't do most stuff online and wait times when you call are always super long. Zero control over pick up/drop off times. I would ask for the latest appt possible and then they would schedule me for morning (7:30 am once!) And you don't get your drop off/pick up window until after business hours the night before, so you can't call to talk to them. I also had water damaged boxes at the back of the container, so no chance it blew in from the door. The concept is great. Working with PODS is not.

I read almost every review on here. PODs was the most economical service for the move we made, from HI to CA. I was nervous living on a military installation and reading the reviews. I must say the service I received from the drivers, the HI team, and the team on Island was 5 Stars Plus!!!! Polite, Covid compliant, and communication was clear and timely!!! Read all the tips and tricks!!! Giving the driver a good situation to work in really speeds the process and gives them the ability to succeed. I would 100% recommend PODs Hawaii for a local or mainland move. 5 Stars plus!!!!!

People here are always kind and helpful. It is the right time to work with boxes in the container!
