Marukame Udon Waikiki

This place is excellent!! I got the chicken salad with noodles and it was delicious. Great flavor, but isn’t heavy/doesn’t leave you feeling heavy. There were 6 in our party and we all were very happy with the various entrees we chose. *There is always a long line out the door and down the street! We ordered online and they said it would be ready in 30 min, but it was ready in 25 minutes. All around great for lunch or dinner.

Long line goes fast. It went down the block and around the corner and it took us about 40 minutes to get through it. This is utilitarian food served cafeteria style and done very well. Great for what it is, but nothing more. The noodles were fresh and perfectly cooked, broth was tasty, egg and beef were soft and delicious. Tempura could be hotter. Cooked in advance and sits under heat lamps. It was tasty regardless. Going back tonight .ud83dude03

What a wonderful experience! The food was incredible and very tasty. Lived up to the hype and reputation! Be prepared for a possible long wait (ours was 45 minutes), but it was worth it to be honest. Recommend!

Was told about this amazing place and I just had to try it for myself. Decided to order takeout and I'm glad I did. The line was so long, then I realized why after eating the udon noodles with beef and tempura shrimp. For the price, you cannot beat this place. The servings are enough for a meal and leftovers, if you prefer leftovers. It was busy but the line was moving quickly but people were constantly getting in line. Fresh noodles are prepared right in front you, taste was delicious. Would definitely recommend, however with how busy the restaurant was, there was no one paying attention to takeout orders. They were placed near an exit and if anyone grabbed them, no employee would have noticed. I walked in, and stood waiting for someone to acknowledge I was there for a takeout order. Although I saw my order, I thought it would be a process for takeout orders and there may be, but not when I arrived. Overall, food was very good!

The food at this restaurant is just stellar. The noodles are absolutely glorious. We went for opening and there was still a line. It moves very fast though because you order cafeteria style.nIt should also be noted that this place is inexpensive - especially so compared to normal Waikiki prices.nThis is an absolute must do. We'll be going back.
