Very stylish with great food and service. It feels like I am back to Europe. Ambiance is wonderful and very relaxing. I hope I will be back one day!

This broke my mouth. The most wonderful staff and ambiance. It felt lux, VIP, and chill at the same time. My family and ethnicity is from India and Pakistan. This is on par with my Ammi's curry...please do not tell her...nShe makes the best food in the world and now I must say she has to share that title with Vikram.nnI wish I could give you a Michelin Star right now.nnWell done.nnThank you for forging on through the pandemic and supporting your staff and our community.nnKindly,nnAbdul & Aubrey

If my evening is representative I'd expect this place will be getting its Michellan Star soon. The presentation is not as incredible as the two star places in France, but it's close. The flavors are so complex and intense. Wine pairings are inspired. The wine list ranges from awesome value incredible wines to high priced stalwarts for those who are spending monopoly money. A memorable and deeply satisfying evening. Not cheap but worth every cent.

TBD by Vikram Garg is a hidden gem in the outskirts of Waikiki. It's a little hard to find if it's your first time here, but the restaurant is tucked away inside the Lotus Hotel, which is the hotel at the very end of the Waikiki strip on the Diamond Head side. Apparently, award-winning chef, Vikram Garg, who was the executive chef at the Halekulani Hotel and oversaw the culinary programs at my favorite Waikiki bar, House Without A Key, also inside the Halekulani, opened this restaurant as an 18 months pop-up restaurant back in 2019, but luckily for us, it seems like this place is here to stay.nnTBD offers a la carte options as well as a $59 tasting menu. I opted for the a la carte option on my first visit, but I tried the tasting menu the second time. $59 for an appetizer, salad or soup, entree, and a dessert is a pretty good deal for this quality and location. We ordered different appetizers to share so I have tried almost everything in the appetizer section of the menu. My favorites are the foie gras gyoza (an additional $10 if you're getting it as part of your tasting menu) and the ahi tartare with shrimp chip, but their flatbread is also delicious. I haven't tried the soup here, but I have tried the Caesar's salad, which is good, but not amazing. The portion is pretty big for a salad that comes as part of a tasting menu though. For the entree I ordered the scallop risotto both times because it was so good the first time I tried it. In fact, I wanted to come back to TBD for a second time because I was craving their scallop risotto. I have tried both the banana cream puffs and their signature mango yogurt ice cream dessert and can say that their desserts are excellent and are beautifully presented.nnThe restaurant also has a pretty good drink list that includes wine, beer, and cocktails. I especially enjoyed the Passion Paloma cocktail, which was very refreshing. I hope that TBD is here to stay since it is such a great addition to the European food scene in Honolulu.
