Chef Chai

Great quality food, great service. The atmosphere feels a tiny bit run-down; worn down paint on the room-sized doors, rust on the bathroom sink, old cabinets in the toilet stall. No signs of dust or uncleanliness but the decor could use some TLC. Overall worth the price and for the experience. Would be best to go on a night of a live performance, which I did not.

If you are in Honolulu, Chef Chai’s restaurant is a must. The service is phenomenal, they pay attention to every detail to ensure you have a fantastic dining experience. I went a few weeks back for my birthday and it was simply the best meal I have ever had. Friendly staff, and Chef even took the time out to come make sure we were having a great experience. The food is top-notch, great portion sizes, impressive plating & most important, absolutely delicious. Will come back every time I am in Honolulu

What an amazing restaurant! The food is outstanding!! I went for my birthday and Chef Chai made the night exceptionally special!. I can’t say enough how wonderful my dining experience was. Definitely a must try!!! A great place to just keep coming back for more.

If you are looking to celebrate a birthday, consider going to a different restaurant. I made a dinner reservation up ahead of time and stated that it was my daughter's 18th birthday. During this pandemic, I had done careful research to enjoy this special celebration with my family. Dinner was delicious. However, the service was not great. My daughter and I were getting uncomfortable because our server seemed to be upset at something. The table next to us was also celebrating a birthday and they received a happy birthday from their server, but we did not. The birthday person even got their dessert for free. My daughter received nothing. We did not have an enjoyable experience. Worst fine dining experience on such an important day.
