Uncle Bo's Pupu Bar & Grill

ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS AND TASTEFUL EXPERIENCE! Sat outside on the porch with excellent service. Had a combination of appetizers and happy hour plates/drinks. As a first time visitor to the island best food so far.

I heard about this place from one of the locals. My friend and I tried it because we had read some good reviews. I decided to call at 5pm to make reservations for 730pm. We arrived exactly at 730 pm and we still were told to wait outside for over 30mins. Completely defeated the purpose of making a reservation. We then ordered 1 drink and food. When the drinks came to the table we would have ordered more but the server never came back to the table to ask if we needed anything. We had flag people down for service. For that reason I will not be back. Therefore the 2 stars.

We filled up on appetizers because we couldn't stop until the plates were cleared!!! Get the local steamed fish entree, the technique is executed to perfection!!! You won't mind if you are popping at the seams, after eating this!!! I ordered it with double portion of veggies but the mash potatoes would have complimented this dish as well!!! I wish I would have taken pics of the dishes!!! Wonderful presentation!!! 10+ out of 10!!!!

Great food! I was able to book a last minute reservation for 10 people the same day. I heard the food was gonna be good, so I had to try it myself. Definitely worth it. We shared most of our plates. All the pupus were good. We also tried the pesto pasta, and it tastes so fresh! My favorite was Uncle Bo's Kalua Pig fried rice. Oh, and gotta get the calamari. We were disappointed we didn't get to try the Hobo's, so make sure you put in that dessert order early.

Great restaurant. Excellent food. Exceptional service. I assume a very experienced chef. My garlic ribeye steak was tasty and filling. Highly recommended. They also have a gluten free menu.nThis restaurant will definitely get more of my din8ng out ventures.
