Update: It's been years since I went here but I still talk about the amazing services, stunning views, and delicious food. I never thought a dessert could taste so much like a cloud~ I recommend calling a month or two in advance and ask for their balcony seating - it's beautiful, especially at sunset.

I had a small family wedding ceremony with 17 people followed with a private dinner at La Mer - and they knocked it out of the park!!!!! They were wonderful!!! It is expensive, but honestly one of the best meals I have EVER had. Also, working to plan the event from the mainland via email was flawless and so easy - they were more than helpful with all my questions, thoughts, etc! It was great!!!! The private room we booked was perfect. I brought name agate slices for name plates, as well as my own flowers. They made me a wedding cake (complimentary!) and it was UNBELIEVABLE - also one of the servers assisted us in the cutting of the cake - he knew everything we needed to do, and went to get better lighting for pictures. They were awesome!!!

There is a reason this restaurant is considered one of the top restaurants in Waikiki. Firstly from the moment we arrived we treated like Royalty and given the best table in the restaurant- table 25 looking over the ocean. Service was friendly, knowledgeable but not intrusive. The food was simply outstanding. Beyond the food we look at the overall experience and can honestly say this was a truly a memorable experience. We were never rushed. The waiter’s recommendations were spot on and the sommelier added some valuable insight on wines and cognacs.

By far the best service and finest restaurant in Honolulu. Treated like royalty from the moment you arrive and the food is superb. I proposed at La Mer 15 years ago and they accommodated my every need. Now we have returned 15 years later for our anniversary and the experience was just as memorable. A beautiful setting and wonderful service. The best restaurant experience possible anywhere in the world.

I have been going to few French restaurants in Hawaii, and I would say this is one of the better ones. Service is as normal and staffs are very friendly. Price and quality are very balanced.nThe only awkwardness is it wills like it is it feels like high end Chinese restaurant... but that’s an other story. Do try and must try.
