Kea'au Beach Park

This is not a sandy beach & I don't think it's a good swimming area but it has grass and picnic tables and is good for fishing, picnics and camping. There are 2 restrooms in the park. I have done a lot of fishing here and also camping. Other times when I need a little time to myself I go here because there isn't always a ton of people here and just sit at a picnic table and watch the sunset. It's really quite beautiful.

Watch out for glass in the soft, deep sand. Rip currents occur fast, so good swimmers only should venture here. Keep all valuables on you and out of site as this is on the wild, wild west side.

Large park perfect for picnics, camping and fishing. Not good for swimming because of the sharp lava rocks and difficult access to the water. There is surfing here, but only for experienced surfers.nCamping reservations are made online or at city hall. There is available water and showers. There are two restrooms in the park. Bring your own toilet paper, since they tend to run out at times.nThere is a problem with occasional vandalism and car breakins that can spoil the vibes of this beautiful park.

Parking area needs major repair but the view is spectacular! I've seen whales right offshore many many times

Great place just to hang out and fish not much of a beach lots of reef, but just walk down just a little and there's a great beach to swim, great place for crawl if your into RC's.
