A bit high on the price for a small hamburger with not much taste. White castle is better and they put theirs in individual boxes so it's easier to keep them separated and easier to take out of the bag. I was not real impressed by how they just crammed the food all together in that small bag. Had 4 people eating and had to touch each one to take out of the bag. There was also no way to tell what was what. We had ordered 3 different burgers (7 total) and had to open each one to figure out what they were.

Nick's is a Brookings institution for a reason! I have been eating there my entire life, as have my parents, as have their parents. The staff is friendly, and you can always count on the perfect burger. Their freshly-baked buns really bring it all together. Every single time I go to/through Brookings, you'd better believe I'll be stopping at Nick's.

I came to Brookings to run a quick errand. While there, my husband wanted me to get him food from this place because he had heard a lot about it. Not only was the price point awesome, I think I only waited a total of 3 minutes tops for my whole order (3 cheeseburgers, each different, and 2 different milkshakes). The staff was also very polite and friendly, even for a gay man at a small town burger joint in middle of nowhere South Dakota - and that's saying something :) Thanks for the great experience!

They have outdoor seating right now because of COVID, but their burgers are just as amazing as always!

We have been customers for many years! Excellent tasting food! I am disappointed that the prices seem to go up every time we visit.
