A fantastic and remote gem. The combination of the white rocks, cliffs, pine trees and rolling grasslands is beyond beautiful to me. I have been moderately infatuated with this place for over a decade despite only being in the area twice. Bring a high clearance vehicle, a top map or a good gps, and lots of water and take time to climb the buttes and enjoy the scenery. Summer is pretty hot, easily can get into the 90s.
