They're sand dunes... but if you want to see sand dunes, worth stopping!
An excellent place to go sledding in the winter
Always so fun. Be sure to follow the rules regarding fireworks and whatnot. Seems like a ranger is there every night. Also a lot of accidents happen here. A lot of the ER patients from Madison are from the dunes
It's a pretty cool place away from the city and out in the open wild. My only concerns are that it takes awhile to get to, the roads are quite sketchy to drive on, and there are sometimes obnoxious young adults partying it up and being dangerous.
If you enjoy riding in the sand the dunes were a blast.
