Beautiful place to hike or picnic. Water flows in the stream most of the year. Hiking trails are well maintained.

Here in February. No water in the creek. Hiked the super trail up, across Josephine'saddle and down Old Baldy Trail. Lovely day. A little snow on the trail near the saddle. Cold coming down at 5pm. 45*. Bring layers.

Very nice.. Just moved to the Sahuarita area.. This was my first experience hiking in the area.. Am impressed at all the different options for hiking.. Looking forward to exploring all the different trail heads... Thumbs up!!!!

Beautiful area, have stayed at Bog Springs campgrounds and also proctor road dispersed. Sadly a lot of trash at the dispersed campground, bring a trash bag as some people seem to think the fire pit is a trash bin, and you might need to clear it out before building a fire. Bog Springs has more amenities and no dirt roads but there is a fee of $20 per night, but you get a water pump, fire pit, table, and bear box and there is a bathroom in the parking lot (proctor dispersed can be tricky, and only has a fire pit, but is free). Bog Springs is also more close set, with campsites only feet from each other, but if you don't mind seeing and hearing a lot of people, it does lend extra security to not be alone in the middle of nowhere, and makes for a much more relaxed experience, especially for beginner campers.

What an excellent place to hike, picnic, and bird watch. Very serene and peaceful.
