Beautiful beach front camping experience available for the group sites. Electric hookups for camper, lots of trees for shade and hammocks. We were disappointed at no sewer hookups, but there is a dump spot close by, it's just an inconvenience that many other sites there don't deal with for such a pricey spot. My family wanted space and reserved waterfront. It was a little misleading that the beach was not able to be reserved by saying the campsite had beach camping access. We were told the beach fills up fast so we just set up our stuff before the public gates opened and it was fine. The campsite does have some fencing, but it's not very clear to outsiders what it's purpose is. There were people parked in our campsite when we got there so we had to wait for them to all pack up before we could park our camper. The rangers were there trying to get them out, but I wish there was more signage to keep them out in the first place. Through our whole trip people would try and claim our area like it wasn't reserved. The morning we checked out, the water got shut off and the ranger had no idea why. We were lucky we brought a few cases of water to cook breakfast with and high tail it out of there. Not sure how any other campers dealt with no water especially if they were relying on the restrooms at the campground. All in all we had a good time, but probably won't be back until the beach reservation is included. It's just too pricey for what you get in my opinion.

We actually stayed in the Birch Campground, but it's essentially the same area. Very nice lake front spots, hookups were great. Camp hosts were nice, bathrooms were super clean! There were a lot of mosquitoes so bring your bug spray! We were eaten alive, even with consistent spraying. Also, the cows are very noisy. They were fun to observe though. Just know they will wake you up in the night!

We've been coming as a family for years. Unfortunately it's slowly getting worse in ways that might only be noticable to regulars like us. We pay for a large group camp ground. It feels like every year we are allowed a few less cars, the price goes up and this year they allowed day beach people claim the waterfront in front of our group camp site. When you pay so much for a private group space and beach... Why come to Bear Lake if not the beach... And we don't necessarily even have it... It leaves one disappointed. We still have had a decent time... But with the current trend, maybe we should start looking at other options.

Beautiful campground at Bear Lake State Park on the south end of Bear Lake. No showers but full hookups. Great RV sites overlooking the lake.
