Beautiful vistas, remote, lots of wildlife, dinosaurs tracks near by, tristate marker of Colorado, New Mexico and Oklahoma close By. The summit is here, the park has a separate location at Lake Carl Etling. RV and tent camping available at the lake with reservations. Hiking to the summit up and back with no messing around will take roughly 4 hrs. I can’t emphasize this enough if hiking in summer bring twice the water you think you’ll need. A bottle or two is not a enough!
