In September 2019, we adopted Milo at the Larimer County Humane Society. Milo needed to be in a home with an active family without young children. So, he was perfect for us! Milo now has a little sister and has adjusted to our life nicely.nnThe staff at the humane society really is top notch. Milo doesn’t like most people, but he loves women and younger teens and I attribute that primarily to the staff that took care of him.

Had to get rid of a cat. Excellent organization to deal with. The process was super simple all we had to do was wait outside the door for them to let us in. Obviously don't forget to wear a mask right now. They greeted us quickly and were able to get all of our needs addressed painlessly. Would highly recommend anyone in the front range area contact them with any concerns regarding pets for surrender or adoption.

Once you arrive you will be given a restaurant buzzer they will take your name and then tell you to go wait in your car because each appointment is an hour long so good luck if you have plans for that day they lady in front of us had already been waiting an hour and still the parking lot had several other cars waiting as well. I went to turn in my buzzer seeing that I wasn’t getting in any time soon and when I did I asked if I could make an appointment because I’m serious about adoption and she said that due to covid they can’t. Instead they let groups of people just randomly show up and wait for the day to hopefully get in... if the point of this place is for adoption wouldn’t you want to ensure people can view the animals with convenience so that the process moves quick and they get new homes?

I have not had an experience with the Humane Society itself, but the Dog Park located there is fantastic. Plenty of room to run, and a few fun obstacles that any dog can enjoy. Every dog, and person, we have met there is super friendly and our dog loves spending time at this park.

Enjoyed the muddy but warm day! This park is usually empty and has respectful folks. Here is to hoping it stays that way.
