My ER experience was the best I could have imagined. I was taken immediately back for care. The nurses and doctors were excellent. They ran the tests needed for a clear diagnosis and immediately had me in surgery. Post op was also excellent. I was treated like family! I can’t say enough good things about this staff!

I went into the emergency room around nine pm. Dr. Weir examined me and ordered a cat scan to confirm. By around eleven pm they had assembled a team, did an emergency surgery that could not wait and I was in the hospital. We are from out of town and my wife and I both agree we were in the right place at the right time. The hospital room was very nice, nurses made me feel comfortable and my wife got to stay in the room with me. A GREAT place!

Went in for nausea and vomiting. They took 4 vials of blood and left the vials in the room with me the entire time. The doctor decided there was no reason to do blood work (even though he did not diagnose a condition) and they threw out 4 vials of my blood. Why did you take my blood and claim to give me an IV, though my blood was just thrown away and I never received an IV? I am a perfectly healthy 22 year old woman with concerning symptoms, though the doctor declared it was “normal” to be feeling this way for nearly a week.nnupdate: The prescription the doctor gave me is not working, and my condition is getting worse. i explained to the doctor WHILE I WAS IN THE ER that the medicine was NOT WORKING, and he sent me home anyway. Shame on your practice. I cannot wait to see the bill for this visit that did more harm to me than good. Please realize that though a patient may not need emergency surgery, they still need care.

Dr Black is excellent and has an excellent team. I have met with him three times, during the initial evaluation, right before the surgery and right after (Surgery was December 28, 2020). He was excellent and answered all of my questions. I am looking forward to my appointment on January 8, 2021. My surgery on the other knee will be scheduled after the recovery of the first knee. I am in excellent care!!!nUpdatenMy second ACL REPLACEMENT surgery was yesterday and it went wonderfully. I feel so just today. I told Dr Black my recovery goals:nDoing the twist at a wedding June 5th. HIKE Mt Lincoln August 1, and ski Mid November! He said that he will work with me to achieve those goals.nI love him and everyone who works with him at the hospital and the office.

The staff at Summit Medical Center are so great! I’ve had a recurring issue spanning 35 years and 6 surgical procedures at four hospitals. St A’s is by far the best. Caring, professional, and supportive. So grateful!
