We stayed at this location after a snowstorm forced us to find a place to stay. The staff was really friendly, but this place needs an upgrade. My room was musty smelling, the floors were weirdly squishy. It was just a gross hotel in my opinion. We booked this because it was a La Quinta and expected it to be fairly nice. The breakfast, although I understand because or Covid, only had danishes, yogurt, and apples. Not what I typically expect for La Quinta.
My fiancé and I had a weekend stay at this La Quinta and had a great time. Prior to our arrival, we had requested a room with a view. The associate I spoke to on the phone was kind enough to get us a great room on the top floor with beautiful views of the mountains. The room was clean, and everything was in order. The heater worked, amenities were stocked, and you could tell housekeeping took their time cleaning the unit. The only item our room was missing was a hairdryer; one quick call down to the front desk and they had that for us within minutes. Due to the pandemic, they do require reservations to use the hot tub which was amazingly easy to secure a time. We checked in on a Friday and checked out on a Sunday and the hotel seemed very busy but speaking to the front desk and navigating the hotel was a breeze. Overall great stay and 10 out of 10 would stay again!
Would actively suggest staying somewhere else. We arrived in the late evening (9p) and were met by a mildly interested night attendant at the desk texting on his phone. He was friendly etc. but his face mask kept falling below his nose. We were assigned a handicap room without prior knowledge, we are not handicapped; this would have been fine, except for the fact that there was dog hair all over the carpet clearly not stringently vacuumed (I am mildly allergic). The desk surfaces nor nightstands appeared to have been sanitized (water marked glass spots and even Human Hair on the nightstand). Even the desk chair was covered in a visible spill (maybe hot chocolate that had spilled everywhere?). To top it all off, because of our room assignment, we shared a VERY thin door to the room next to us. We experienced the joys of someone who played their TV all night and woke up to them blasting Drake in the morning. My recommendation? Look elsewhere. Would also recommend the Luxury Inn and Suites if you're looking to stay at this price range of hotel - only a block away and relatively same price.
The lobby was a little dated but nice. There's coffee and wrapped pastries for the included breakfast during covid.nnWe were in room 206. Our room was cold no matter how much we increased the temperature. The sink leaked all over the counter. The floor in the bathroom was water damaged and the baseboards were fairly dirty. The vent in the bathroom smelled like cigarette smoke when it was turned on. We found a few....crumbs? something in the bedsheets, questionable if they had been changed.nnI expected the decor and furniture to be dated. But it didn't meet my expectations for cleanliness. Disappointed.
My room was quite gross. The sheets were stained in multiple areas. There was leftover food from the previous guest in the fridge. There was a visible liquid spray stain on one of the walls. And there was mold in the shower. I would only recommend this place if a friend was looking for a very cheap option and was willing to lower their standards dramatically. The wifi was very slow. fast enough to stream netflix but not fast enough to join a zoom call. There was also a lot of noise coming from the other rooms so I had to use ear plugs to get to sleep.
