Clean campground and restrooms with flush toilets. Showers are free. Loved the view of the reservoir from the campsite on top of the hill. More trees/ natural shade than Dakota Terrace. Camp hosts at Elk Ridge were nice people - educated us on how to best use our bear resistant cooler with padlocks. Highly recommend.

Of all the campgrounds at Ridgeway Elk Ridge is the best. Its at the top of the ridge in a beautiful wooded area with great views.

Clean and well maintained. Great views of lake. Lots of hiking and marina has reasonable boat rentals. Friendly staff.

Great state park. This campground is up on a ridge overlooking the reservoir. Water was extremely low in the reservoir Sept 2020.

Very nice! It's like a retirement community, mostly 60+ people there. Which is great, it's calm and quiet. Sites are spacious but there are not many trees so you hear and see your neighbors. Next time I would choose one of the walk in sites, the walk is VERY short, sites are big, have bear boxes and AMAZING views.nnMake sure you walk around and check out the Sunset Trail. The 'beach area' had a no swimming sign and had a bunch of boats so to actually swim you probably have to drive to one of the other sides of the park.nnThey have a loundry room and hot showers :)
