Highlands Point East/West Trail

Beautiful! Between Daniel's Park and the East West Trail we saw the Bison Herd, a herd of Elk, a flock of Wild Turkeys and some Mtn Blue Birds! What a day! Great hike with awesome views.

Just park in the cul-de-sac or on the street by the trail head; there's no lot. Once you hike up a short ways, you will find the entrance gate to the Back Country. This trail is about 1.5 miles, mostly uphill, and it intersects a couple other trails along the way. At its termination on top of a hill, there's a nice bench to sit on while you catch your breath and appreciate the view.

A stunning view! A bonus is that it is a very enjoyable walk up to Highpoint from the parking lot of MVHS.
