i don't see why anybody would give this landmark less than 5 stars. it's a dope monument in an alright area and it's a nice photo opp too. the beach boys were a legendary group in their day and it's a good thing landmarks like this still exist. they should have more of these all over the city for many other artists in the future.

The site was very cool and iconic! 4 stars because the city can do a better job for a legendary world wide Southbay band. Some palm trees in the back ground. Something!nNevertheless it was very cool!

I was walking my dog and I came across this is thought it was pretty cool. I loved The Beach Boys and they would have been my neighbors kinda

Though it’s not so well-known outside diehard music lover circles, Hawthorne is where the Beach Boys got their start.nnThe modest Wilson home where the band’s founders grew up was once located on West 119th Street near the downtown area, just a stone’s throw from the monument that now memorializes their impressive rise to global stardom.nnMost guests won’t need to spend more than a half-hour at the official California Historical Landmark, but it’s a worthwhile stop for those looking to experience a unique bit of American pop culture.nnThe Wilson’s home was demolished to make way for a new highway decades ago, but the monument is easy to reach from the 105 freeway.

If you like the beach boys and you are in the area it's worth stopping. The house has been destroyed to make way for the freeway, but it's still cool to be in the area.
