We had been clients of Connie's for over 3 years. Then covid hit. We stuck it out with her even though online wasn't working for us. Our invoices stopped as soon as the in person lessons stopped, but she continued to charge us. When asked when she would start charging again, I was ignored. She wouldn't return any of my phone calls and hid behind her email not explaining anything or refused to show me proof that she was sending out my invoices. You cannot make up any of the theory classes that sometimes get cut short. The private 5-7 min long lessons are not worth it in my opinion.
I love the Piano University. Me and two of my kids have taken lessons for a year now and we are so pleased with the progress we’ve all made. One of my kids was a complete beginner and she was playing music right away a progressing fast enough to keep her excited to continue. I am impressed at the balance of theory, note recognition and piano time. They keep everything fun with games and extra activities. Try this studio, you’ll love it too!
My four-year-old daughter and my 5-year-old niece take lessons at the Piano University. I absolutely love it. I really do think it is the very best music education you can provide for your children. I love that they get music theory and games and prepare for monthly performances. My 4 year old was reading music and playing after her very first class. It was amazing. Their curriculum for small children is just outstanding. I can't recommend them enough.
This is the best piano studio I've ever seen (including my own!). My 4 kids (ages 8 to 16) take lessons here and they learn theory, technique, practicing skills, composing, and have a lot of fun. The teacher is extremely knowledgeable and organized. She has created her own curriculum for young students which allows kids as young as 3 to be successful in the piano. And she is constantly looking to improve her methods. Plus, lesson times are very flexible, all your kids can have the same lesson time (no more shuttle kids back and forth for hours!), and if you're running 15 mins late, you still get your whole lesson. You can't beat that for busy moms! I highly recommend The Piano University!!
We have been with the Piano University for about 18 months and I have been so pleased with my kid's progress. I love Connie's system which encorporates different learning games and methods, flexibility of the studio which can accommodate for schedule changes, her emphasis on performance confidence, and fun summer activities designed to keep the kids engaged all year long.
My kids love practicing and going to piano lessons every week. We highly recommend this studio, especially for those looking to start there younger children.
