Tavern on Main

My friends and I visited Tavern on Main after having a little hiccup we had last time. We had a bad experience and the owners gave us a gift card for the inconveniences we experienced. We were really hesitant but we came for a second chance. This time was way better. The service was amazing, the food was amazing, the atmosphere was amazing. I am so glad we came back. This is one of my favorite places and this time was fantastic. The owners made a huge effort to come over and check on us. We weren't rushed and overall had a great experience. I would 6 stars if i could.

We did an appetizers for dinner meal. Crab cakes we're fabulous. They have WINE FLIGHTS!!! Would go back for that alone. Excellent all around value.

I love Tavern on Main. I have been eating here ever since I came to Rhode Island for school. Today, my friends and I ordered take out for our first get together since COVID and it was a very special occasion and we wanted Tavern on Main to celebrate. My friend, ordered a sandwich and asked for no pesto because of a serious nut allergy. We picked food up and came back to the house and realized her sandwich had pesto all over it. If she didn't check she could have had a serious reaction. I ordered a salad, they forgot the dressing. When we called, they seemed really apologetic and we went back to pick up a new sandwich. They messed the sandwich up again and luckily we were still outside the restaurant. We are extremely disappointed in this experience. In addition, when coming into the restaurant, we talked w the manager that pulled down her mask to talk to us which is extremely unsafe as well. They only took the sandwich off the bill but we feel taken advantage of because we are college students. We had an awful experience and they barely wanted to take off the sandwich from the bill. We had to ask for compensation because we did not feel like it was fair for us to be running back and fourth and have the entire order messed up twice. I am extremely disappointed and do not think I will order from here again because of the awful customer service.

Friendly service from Patrick. Delicious food. I ordered my salad to have only romaine lettuce, but it was served with arugula. Other than that. All was fine.
