I would have left 5 stars, however, this morning we decided to have breakfast at the restaurant before we checked out. We were seated very quickly, but after that no one acknowledged us for over 30 minutes. I had to go find someone to wait on us. And then when the finally did wait on us, the excuse was “sorry, no one wrote down your table.” We were a little confused as to how no one noticed us sitting there waiting. We both work in customer service so we definitely understand that mistakes happen, but we just thought it could have been handled better than just passing the blame off on somebody else. Besides breakfast, our stay was wonderful and we had a great time.

Great stay for one night in King room 305. Very clean, cozy room. Nice balcony overlooking a lake. Quiet stay but construction is going on. Indoor pool was open. Front desk staff friendly. Plenty of quiet little nooks to relax or play games. Had a meal in the restaurant Timber’s that was nice. Definitely a great Lodge to stay at. Stopped over at Hosaks cave for a small hike very pretty.

Our room was lovely. However, finding the room was terrible. No signage anywhere showing you or directing you in the right direction. I have a bum leg and my husband has Parkinsons. I had to get out of my car twice to ask someone which end of the lodge our room was located. We guessed as to where it was and that, too, was a mess. Two handicapped people, construction debris and vehicles here and there. Unload your car and then walk a long distance to park it. And by the way, one has to wonder how thorough housekeeping is. Toilet paper was half gone and no replacement paper anywhere to be seen. Empty kleenex holder, a dead wasp and someone's pill underneath the bathroom sink, on the floor. Yikes!

We spent Christmas Eve and Day at Salt Fork in a lakeside chalet. Beautiful, peaceful and serene. We spent a lot of time relaxing in the hot tub. Every employee we spoke to was super friendly and helpful. If you haven't been there, treat yourself and go. We can't wait to go back.
