I used to enjoy going to Boston Bowl Hanover, but it has gone downhill over the years. If you need proof, take one step into the arcade. Even before the pandemic, the prize counter is very bare with little to no prizes, most of the arcade games are off/broken, and the prices of the games have increased drastically over the years. The high prices definitely do not correlate with the experience that you receive. I just hope some changes are made soon because Ryan’s Ten Pin Eatery at Hanover Crossing is going to take your customers because they are going to have a bigger center with more activities such as a giant arcade filled with working games, a bigger prize counter, and games that don't cost an arm and a leg.

Venue is clean, well run, kept up, etc. Staff is friendly and efficient. Good food and drink selection. Quality is above average for a bowling alley. So why did I give it only 2 stars. It’s for what they do after 6:00pm. At 6:00 the place becomes an R rated disco. The lights go off, the rock music starts blaring and the disco lights start twirling around. At at the end of every alley is a large screen that plays music videos. These videos have to be at a minimum PG13 if not R rated. While I and my party are all in our 60’s we were surrounded by families with children. Not teenagers, children all under the age of 10. I can only imagine what they thought of all the women in underwear bursting and grinding all over the place. I could understand all of this starting at 8:00 pm to try and draw a teenage etc crowd.

We had a child birthday party there a d they took care of everything. They even helped us out and found some candles for the cake that we forgot. Fantastic! Bowling, pizza, and arcade all included with a personal party assistant? AND the price is right? Amazing.

Although I have liked going to Boston Bowl in the past, my most recent visit was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had there. First off, my friends and I went to rent shoes, and not only are they more than $5, the man behind the counter was rude and condescending to us because each of us paid for our shoes separately (because we wanted exact change??). After this man tried to teach us (adults) a lesson about money, we went to bowl at a rate of more than $5 a person per game. Just checking around the seating area and table there was a sock on the table, and a salt shaker with dust on it. Absolutely revolting experience that makes me want to stay away from this place.
