I love Meadow Lea Park! It's easy to miss if you don't know where you're going, like a hidden gem. I've been going there my whole life. It was really fun as a kid. Now I walk my dog there and occasionally swing on the swings, because who can resist a good swing ride?! Currently there's a baseball diamond, a basketball court, a small playground, 2 adult swings, 2 baby swings, a splash pad, a big hill that's used for sledding, etc, a walking path that leads to a bridge over a tiny stream and picnic tables and bathrooms (although I doubt the bathrooms are open due to covid). There are also plenty of garbage cans around too. It's a small park but there is a lot of room to do things, even if there's a lot of people there, which is not very likely. You can access the main entrance from Broezel and that's where the parking lot is. There's a walking entrance from Charleston(?) over the bridge but you'd have to park on the road if you enter that way from a car. There's houses surrounding the park all the way around so we always try to be considerate of that by not making too much noise, etc. There used to be a lot of teens in the park after dark but with the increased police presence over the last few years, I think that issue has been mostly eliminated. The park also has been maintained very nicely in recent years. I may be biased because I grew up going to this park but it is my favorite in Lancaster, besides Como. Definitely a fun little place to visit, and usually very quiet and peaceful too!

My toddler enjoyed the pool so much! The playground is small but nice!

The toddler swing is shaded by a tree in the afternoon.
