READ THIS. This school is humiliating. I am a current father of a child I sent to this school but recently removed her. I actually had to give this school a star to post this review. This for 1 is an absolutely corrupt school. The town has made lots of changes in the school and the upper staff, which areclearly not the right members to be apart of this town and school. I remarkably hear over and over about the problems this school causes for the town, us parents and especially for the kids of the town. The school repeatedly is catching kids on their social media profiles which are most of the time private?! The SCHOOL OFFICER makes fake social media accounts to catch these kids, what a great example, and this is false identification. Don’t think this school should be worried about social media they obviously have other problems to solve, and I’m pretty sure a grown man looking at kids profiles is 1 stalking and concerning and also creepy in my opinion I’ve heard of countless kids being slowly kicked out of this school and even more this year than ever. I’m very close with many parents in this town and I know a lot of the kids that had to experience these situations within the school and I’m extremely disappointed. The staff all I could say is they did not sign up for the right job. The kids they seem to kick out of school always seem to be the kids that actually needed real help in school, not to be told their “options”, then to choose one, then told to basically get it together or you need to find another “option” —a.k.a. You will be removed from the school. These staff members seem to get very frustrated with THEIR JOB. So it seems like to me and other parents as well they would rather just let all the kids who are breezing and passing school just fine be apart of the school and screw all the kids who are trying and want to make a difference in their school career BUT CANT DO IT ON THEIR OWN , and get no credit. They say they’re making good progress within the school but behind closed doors these are honestly very fishy people, and why? There JUST KIDS trying to get through high school this is NOT A COMPETITION! Of course we want to have the best school but you can only be the best YOU CAN BE! If your looking to send your kid here for what you may think is a better school because now is “school choice” please think twice, it’s only because it is a $44 million dollar school, but hey “looks can be decieving” right? If your son or daughter is a student that you are trying to send here because you think that he or she needs better help, I’m sure you can find a better program. Your child might only be “another problem” for this school they can’t fix. I feel terrible for the kids who are now struggling to find different solutions for their future because this school can handle kids who better education.
This High School is a mess. They can’t keep a permanent Principal for more than a year, the Guidance Department has actually only set me back, (I can site examples) and not to mention they blatantly lied to me when I asked to switch around 2 classes. The lesson learned here is that no matter how much money you pour into a new school and new staff, it still won’t help the communication this school needs between its students, parents and staff.nnThe material learned at this school is about 7/10 but don’t even consider moving ahead in a subject, the school gives you all sorts of trouble when a student displays self motivation, and willingness to move forward a class in which he/she is proficient in. For gifted students out there, I personally encourage you to teach yourselves ahead in a subject if you are proficient in one area or another. You will gain all sorts of experience and knowledge this way, and I myself do believe that it can only help you. I would also encourage you to ask guidance about moving forward, but be prepared to be met with much resistance!
