Five Rivers Environmental Education Center

Always a hit regardless of the season. So much great space for walking, running, hiking. Good signage, people wear masks and being respectful of space. Animals were alive and in spring mode. Easy parking. Miss being able to go in the interactive lodge. Definitely wear appropriate foot gear or expect to get muddy depending on what trail you take. Kids love to go off trail, more mud lol. Boots are a great choice..

Love going there with the family. We saw deer today from maybe 20 feet away. Beautiful. However, it hasn't warmed enough for ice in the trails to start melting. The ice was downright treacherous in places. Recommend investing in traction spikes or waiting for slightly warmer weather to avoid ice issues.

Husband and I met a friend here to go for a walk and catch up. This was a lovely place and we thoroughly enjoyed the trails and the scenery . Despite the maps though, some of the trails were confusing. Using the AllTrails app was helpful.

Location, location, location...just outside of Albany a beautiful natural preserve with plenty of trails, trees and critters . ..all season ! Pack a snack, get your layers on and grab your gear...snowshoeing today was great and lots of cross country skis...and let's not forget the kiddos ..lots of room for running and fun ...and public restrooms are opened ! be safe, be blessed and enjoy ❄ufe0f
