Karl's Foreign Motors

I called Karl's Foreign Motors for a vehicle inspection. Had to visit twice because of a check engine light (2 DTCs). George was quick to schedule me in same day both visits. He was personable, honest, made some important repairs to pass inspection, and offered great advice to get my car on the road. If you're in the Hampton area and you're looking for a great mechanic, George is a great guy to go to.

This is one truly awesome person. So much so that you may have a hard time getting in his schedule. I was lucky in that I showed up with a flat tire. Not only did he stop working to help me, but he didn't have the right size plug. So he called a part place to drop one off. Then chatted with me in general (I didn't know why we were hanging around at first). Then he finished the repair. I gladly overpaid him.nI would go back just to hang out and talk, but I know he's busy.nIf you want honest and real, this guy is it!

My experience with George from Karl's Foreign Motors has been overwhelmingly positive. On Saturday the 4th of July, we were on our way home from Maine to Connecticut when the alternator on our minivan stopped working. We were lucky enough to exit the highway safely at the New Hampshire State Liquor Store. On the recommendation for the store manager, I had the van towed to Karl's Foreign Motors. When I spoke to George that Monday, he was very friendly and said even though he was busy, he should be able to get to it before the end of the week. Sure enough on Friday morning, George called and said the car was done. He was also very understanding about when I could come pick it up knowing I lived 160 miles away. ......................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................nFinal Determination: 1. The work that was done was first quality. 2. The labor rate was incredibly reasonable. 3. He did not mark up the cost of the parts. 4. PS- I've got two comments about the negative reviews by two others that wanted to get their cars inspected. 1. George does all the work in this shop alone, so if you're in a hurry, this may not be the place to go to. 2. The sole purpose of an inspection is to find potentially dangerous issues with your car so you can get them fixed. So, I believe, that you shouldn't be surprised when a mechanic as thorough as George finds something to be repaired. He will not just rubber stamp your inspection.

I have been going here for years, this place is a diamond in the rough! George is the owner and mechanic, he has great prices and does quality work. He is an honest man and always greets you with a smile.

I live in Rochester nh. I've been taking my car to Karl's in Hampton for years ever since I started at dominos. George is always friendly and polite. Unlike dealers who always find something to get your money if he doesnt see anything he won't make something up. Very reasonable rates and very fast. I highly recommend Karl's.
