I had my all season tires taken off and winter tires put on at the beginning of winter. There was no mention that one of the tires had any damage and would be unsafe to drive. I had stored my tires in my garage all winter, scheduled an appointment to have my all season tires put back on and they called to inform me I needed 4 new tires since one of them was damaged. My husband worked as mechanic for 20 years and inspected the tire that is damaged and would only have damage from them either taking it off or attempting to mount it incorrectly. I have a foreign car with low profile tires, I would not recommend anyone to utilize them for this service. No accountability has been taken by Alton Auto Alignment and now I have to purchase 4 new tires due to their mistake. On top of it all, Dave, reacted poorly and was rude when I said I wasn't going to move forward with purchasing 4 new tires from him, totaling around $950. I never write any negative reviews, however, I couldn't let this slide.
Overall, great experience! Quick & friendly.nnI showed up towards the end of the day and they were able to squeeze me in for a state inspection.
From Carolyn at the front to all the employees in the shop- they know what they are doing, get done what you need doin and get it done competently, quickly, and won’t drag your wallet through the coals.
Dave, Carolyn and the rest of the crew provide outstanding honest and fair service time and time again with a smile! While in Alton go see them for all your automotive needs!
They gave me hot chocolate and a candy bar. My kind of place. Didn’t charge me anything to look it over. Dave’s nice and easy to talk to, as well as the woman at the front desk. :)
