We stayed here a few weeks ago on our way to South Dakota. It is very clean and since there were few campers, we pretty much got our pick of sites. Yes, there are trains that come by ( sometimes quite often), but it did not bother me at all. My wife said they woke her up a few times. We enjoyed the site and area so much that we extended our stay and had some friends come camp there also. It is actually the nicest campground in the area of all the ones we checked out and we will stay there again when we pass by next time.
We stayed an extra night because it was such a relaxing place to stay! Highly recommend. We had full hook-ups and didnt have to disconnect our tow car. Friendly, clean, good vibe.
This is a tough review, the park is the best in the area, but I think it could be better. Upon arrival Tom in the office was friendly and pleasant. Check in was easy, BTW, cash or check only. Tom let me have the pick of sites. All sites were grass but the grass was rough in most sites. While overall level I had to find the right spot in the site to be level. While I find ants in most campgrounds I found more here there elsewhere. I try not to park on any hills and that was difficult here. The hook ups worked well. The driveways were crushed red gravel, smooth and well groomed. Puddles did form during the rain but no big deal. Other reviewers mentioned the freight trains. I heard them too but not too often and not bothersome, but I wear earplugs when I sleep, and I slept well. Short ride to Fort Laramie, nice place to spend an hour or two. Gas a few miles away in downtown Lingle. AT&T wireless service was good, so was camp wifi.
Did a reenactment of the Pony Express. Campgrounds were great.nStaff went over to help us.
We love it here! Thanks for the hospitality
