Thank you to the Gordon family for keeping this historic site available to the public. It’s amazing how much effort has been put into maintaining the grasslands and the integrity of the site. Thank you!! We shared a photo of your house that we took from the hill, across the prairie.

Not much to actually see, but lots of history here! Very clean and well kept drive, trails and signage explaining the dugout and such! Very quiet and peaceful!nnThank you to Mr. Gordon (the property owner) for such a fine place to visit!

Not worth the $5 entrance fee. A donation would be better served. Nice place cards, with Ingalls facts.

What an amazing experience to have a picnic on the banks of Plum Creek!! The paths were mowed and there was good info to read along the way. Take your bug spray - especially in the summer as you will be on the creek. ud83dude09 The fee is minimal and worth it! The original dugout is gone but it’s very obvious where it was and they have a nice sign display telling about it. When we were there last week, we couldn’t find the site of where the original house was- maybe it just hadn’t been mowed and we missed it. It would’ve been great to see where the original house was built. Still very appreciative that the owners allow picnickers and creek exploring!! And we even picked a few Mulberries. Worth the small fee for sure!! ud83dude0d
