Peaceful place to take a walk, read a book, just sit still
Wish all the rides were open.
One of my family's favorite places in the Twin Cities. The zoo is the perfect size to see in a couple hours and not feel like you missed anything. The conservatory is straight up magical! I love to go there in the dead of winter just for a reminder of what summer feels like. My younger kids are also big fans of Como Town, the little amusement park. It's rather charming. It feels like a small town county fair.
It was a nice windy walk in the early evening. Not too crowded, enjoyable night.
Lots of picnic tables, nice spaces to talk and walk. As long as the weather is fine, be outdoors, coffee shop with limited seating available for inclement weather, very pleasant.
