Had extra time on a trip and decided to check out the lookout. Followed the signs from 61 to the parking lot. Great signage - it was clear and didn't get lost along the way. The parking lot was spacious and signs at the parking lot and along the trail were very easy to understand. The trail was well maintained and easy to navigate. There were two dedicated spots to lookout and then one spot created by frequent visitors. For an early Spring visit, you could see pretty far into the horizon including Palisade Head. Hands down, great elevation to see the city, lakeshore, and everything in between! Great historical information posted at each lookout.
Easy walking, nice parking lot, quick way to get a gorgeous view of the Cliffs taconite facility, the lake, and the town of Silver Bay.
A great vista on a high point in silver bay. Three different lookouts each with a great view.
Great overlook with 3 different angles of the lake, plant, and city. Well worth a stop when going through silver bay.
Beautiful overlook of Lake Superior. Nice hiking trail.
