Anthony Middle School

This is a public Minneapolis Middle School location with a good reputation. I had 1 child attend this school for 2 years and he had a generally good experience.

The teachers and admins knowingly violate state law.nnEach school district shall have a procedure for a parent, guardian, or an adult student, 18 years of age or older, to review the content of the instructional materials to be provided to a minor child or to an adult student and, if the parent, guardian, or adult student objects to the content, to make reasonable arrangements with school personnel for alternative instruction. ... School personnel may not impose an academic or other penalty upon a student merely for arranging alternative instruction under this section. [Minnesota Statutes 120B.20]

this place is horrible it has no divsertiy at all and some teachers cuss at kids. They dont teach they just yell at you, they act all nice at first then become super rude , I moving schools , because i got bullied and the kids there are so rude too

This behemoth of a building is most definitely not a place of joy. For a plethora of people, this building is more of a jail cell of anxiety, and terror rather than a school. Passing times are like four minutes in hell. People screaming, fighting and slamming into you as you try to walk through. My friends and I all despised this grotesque building. Go ahead try taking the stairs, I hope your body is made of springs. Sure, you can walk in the hallway, but I hope you can turn into a bulldozer. Do you want to know the safest place in the school? Hah, too bad. There is none! Even the courtyard that they never use is dangerous. If anyone was smart enough, they would know that the courtyard was always unlocked and that they should lock it, so as to prevent any thieves. Even if on the last day of school, when everyone is one the field trip and you try to stay at school to help clean up the labyrinth in the library that people have made, the exact people you wanted to avoid will be there and screw up your blissful day of pizza, soda, and organizing. of course they won’t help, they’ll just sit together and mooch of of you and the teacher, laughing and calling things gay. The worst part is, they’re right in front of a bunch of LGBT people that have had to put up with them for so long that they want to throw them out of the window. That was my experience at Anthony Middle School. Also, the new principal never even told anyone that she was the new principal and that Ms. Hanson had retired.

There's not much to say but this school suck the 3 years felt like a life time
