Nice little campground. No dump station so make sure to fill up before you come here! Sites have lots of room and camp host was very helpful! Beach area is pretty small and no dogs allowed on it. Hiking trails could use some more signage.
Nice quiet park with large sites. Good hiking, nice lake for kayaking. Lots of frogs and turtle sightings kept kids entertained. Old but clean rest rooms. Only disappointment was closed shower because of Covid-19 precautions. Yet the sinks were running. Small inconvenience.
Don, the old man running the campground was NOT COOL, at all. Think he was on some sort of power trip. There was water in sinks AND outside, but NO SHOWERS were on. Bathrooms looked like had not been cleaned in at least 6 months or more. Although, he decided to somewhat clean them, the day we were LEAVING! Had a great time there, last year. Don wasn't running it then.
This place is great! They have many trails for hiking, lakes for fishing, the staff is super friendly a helpful. It’s also very kid friendly with a basketball hoop, swimming beach and plenty of bike riding room. There are also many other lakes in the area if you want to take an afternoon drive.
Beautiful, quiet place! Large sites and lots of birds.
