Very buggy. Lot was good size. Lake was beautiful but very poor fishing. DNR needs to update information about lakes on website.
Avery Lake is a gorgeous, secluded, spring-fed lake in northern lower peninsula Michigan. The lake itself boasts some islands and a canal to explore. Loons and bald eagles are easy to spot. The campground is a bit rustic, but keeps this beautiful area natural and accessible to those who don't own cabins on its north side. There are never many campers here, which is a shame, but it remains one of the area's best kept secrets.

Cold! No fish!
Gone camping here 4 years running and also camped here as a child.nNice and quiet.nFishing is hit and miss unfortunately. Only downfall.nOuthouses are kept clean and stocked.
