I thought this place was great. It seems to be mostly geared toward seasonal and campers but we had a group with tents and thought our location was great. Its a bit of a walk to either bathroom and shower but our location by the water was lovely.nBe prepared for the wind that comes off the lake and the ducks who are looking for snacks. The kids really enjoyed that part but the wind could be tough for the tents. You couldn't beat the view though.nThey had laundry which was greatly appreciated as we stayed for 5 days and ran out of clothing. Its the perfect place if you have a boat. We were able to dock there and enjoyed multiple day and night excursions.nSome reviews mentioned price. Yes, I could see how it is a little pricier for just a tent spot and the fact that you have to pay for their wood. But if you ask the front desk, they explain about how they lost 50 trees due to foreign bugs being brought in with the wood.nThe security is on it, as we tried to get wood during the night and he was right there to make sure we were going to pay when the office reopened.nThe little camp store had really cute shirts and hoodies. If it weren't for Covid, I guess they would have had some amazing grocery items including ice cream treats for the kids.nOverall, I could see how they seem strict and unfriendly, but we just kept a positive attitude and were able to squeeze a few smiles out of the staff.

The campground is mostly seasonal guests and and older crowd. Not a lot of young families or kids. Lake access is minimal, no real beach due to high lake levels. The playground was nice, bathrooms are clean. Overall, amenities are so/so, but the location is convenient for visiting the sites in the area.nStaff is rather unfriendly especially the night guard. Don't keep your fire going past 11 unless you want to be yelled at. We did receive an apology for the poor attitude. Probably won't return as it isn't our style.

Nice scenic campground with walking trails. Beautiful scenery! Can't wait to go again!!

Lovely place for family friends to spend time together

Wonderful Campground my husband an I have stayed there 2 x with family. Enjoyed our time there both times, an only thing I can complain about “which am not complaining “ Oweners of camp could use more bathroom’s/ showers. In another section of campground especially when tent campers!!! Lots of Campers have there own bathroom/shower . Great Family Campground we were in 2015 & 2018 an loved it the lake is so clear an sandbar, lilly pads my brother in-law & sisters-in-law gave us a boat ride up to this little town so beautiful... Iam from Tn so all this was new to me. Our lake are murky , we deal with clay mud , no Lilly pads... ; (
