It was fun playing hockey ,nWith the guys but i was disappointed with all the trashnLeft by other people? No one can trow out there trash in a barrel?
Decent playground but small. Good distance from road and decent amount of parking.
Stella Tirrell Park has a long history. It’s named after a person from the Tirrell family which dates back to the original Wessagusset settlement which is now known as Weymouth. The ancestors of this family are found in the nearby Highland Cemetery on Main Street near the South Shore Hospital down the street.nnThis park was renovated from 2017-2018 and now has 2 new public roller hockey rinks, as well as a baseball field, a new picnic area, and a new playground. It also features a Babe Ruth Mural which is hand painted.nThe western entrance has hand painted nautical seals. U can bike and stroll here, as well as walk your dog, and various events are also held here in the summer.
We live right around the corner and they have done amazing things with this park...nThe playground is great !!! Plenty of parking is avail. And they have TWO street hockey courts.. Both recently new as of 2019.... On the weekends beginning in the spring the park is PACKED from morning till afternoon both sat/sun with games!!!! They've done a great job putting this park on the map as far as putting in the street ud83cudfd2 hockey courts... And bringing the sport to weymouth.. Its a really strong league.. They also have a baseball field as well... Great park...
Nice playground for the little tykes. Great skating rinks. Big ball field.
