(Since I love nature, some explorers might find my reviews not meeting expectations. That said, I'm trying to be more critical yet fair.)nnThis is a very small trail system with well cleared paths that is part of a larger conservation area called The Plymouth River Complex. The access is at the end of Shirmer Rd. off of High Street. There is no signage on High Street or on Shirmer Rd. which might be intentional due to the small size of the trail system and the fact that the main facility here is the Plymouth River Elementary School.nI found this trail system out of curiosity as it is near my new apartment. It was a pleasant surprise and I decided to explore further. To be honest, there is nothing remarkable about the trails: well cleared, a small stream, some granite hills. It is a nice walk in the woods though and it is not very challenging, terrains wise, making it a good spot for runners, walkers and families.nOne cool feature that might make it a four star rating for families with young children is the Storybook Trail which features pages from a picture book on plaques along the way. I'm not sure if these get changed very often...I hope so as this is a fantastic idea (yeah, I'm a teacher). The trail brings you back to a nice little nature themed playground. I did not see any signs barring public use here.nThe only other thing I would add is that, due to the proximity to the school, I am assuming that this is a mixxed-use area, especially the Storybook trail and the playground. Out of respect, I would strongly recommend avoiding school hours!!!nOtherwise, enjoy!
