Visiting Alpena from the metro Detroit area we stopped into The Local Basket Case. The store was amazing. Not your average run of the mill souvenir shop. Everything was quality made, stylish and so reasonably priced. Griffin, one of the store owners, was so personable and full of knowledge. He informed us of some must see locations. Rockport Recreation Area in particular.nWhich honestly, may have been our favorite part of the entire trip. Great experience all around. We'll definitely visit everytime we are back in the area.
