There is so much to say about this place, I don't know where to start.nnOnce you set foot on this island you will want to return as often as possible. The birds and wildlife are bountiful. The whole island smells of fresh fir trees and the ground is covered in lush ferns. The trails allow you to explore the island and are well marked. There is so much to discover here. It's a place that lets you clear your mind of modern society and step back to a much simpler pace of life.nnThe staff is very profesional and helpful and will go out of their way to make your visit memorable.nnAnd oh my, the food... locally sourced and prepared by a world class chef and staff... they will go above and beyond to make sure any special dietary needs are met.nnI could go on and on... but see for yourself... look at the 2020 schedule and come to the island yourself.. you wont regret it.

I have attended an Hog Island Audubon Camp program for 7 seasons. They offer wonderful 5 days sessions of amazing birding day trips, boarding in classic Maine cabins and great meals. The instructors are all very knowledgeable and experienced in sharing bird watching and information. There is much fun and camaraderie among campers and staff. This is a Maine vacation I look forward to annually. If you like nature, bird watching and the New England coast, this is THE special place.

This is a magical place!! The instructors are so intentional with their lessons, the entire staff mindful of the needs of campers. I participated in the Sharing Nature: An Educators Week series and walked away restored, inspired, and with ideas to refresh my lesson plans. I highly recommend this camp!
