When you first get to the trailhead, you can go left to the beach or right to the mountain. I went right and it was a beautiful hike. Not many views but I did find this.
Lots of free camping space, several large group camping areas. Lake water in earlier August was really warm and clear. Half a mile hike to the beach from the parking area. Some camping spots had picnic tables.
One of my favorite places on Earth!
Love this place! Its approximately a mile hike in with your camping gear so make sure to travel smart. We learned to bring a wagon to haul the gear up and down the trail. Nice quiet beach for fishing, hiking and camping!
